Exciting news traders! We are thrilled to announce that an Option Alpha Pro membership is now FREE to all traders when connecting to a qualified* tastytrade account.

We are proud to partner with tastytrade to offer this incredible promotion, and together our goal is to bring automated trading to even more options traders than ever before.

That’s right! All you need to do to activate your free Option Alpha Pro account is:

Open and/or fund your tastytrade account(s) with at least $5,000
Maintain a minimum $5,000 account balance each month
Keep an active connection between Option Alpha and tastytrade and make one live trade on a rolling 30-day period

This applies to new and existing tastytrade accounts. Plus, the $5,000 minimum balance includes all funded accounts combined under your tastytrade credentials. So if you have $5,000 in one account and $6,000 in another account, you’d still qualify.

Your free Pro account includes 50 bots, with a $100k starting capital limit per bot and unlimited backtests.

How to get your free Option Alpha Pro account

There are only two simple steps to get your free Pro account:

Log in to your Option Alpha account. Don’t have one yet? Create your free account here.
Connect and authorize access to your tasty account(s). Don’t have a tastytrade account yet? Open a new account here.

Once your qualified tastytrade account(s) is authorized and connected to Option Alpha, you’ll be automatically upgraded to Pro and can start trading live. You’ll have everything you need to test new strategies, run multiple bots, find new trading ideas, and unlock all the automated options trading tools at Option Alpha.

If your membership is paid for on behalf of tastytrade, you'll be required to do all your Option Alpha trading through that authorized account.

*A "Qualifying" or "Qualified" account has a minimum balance of $5,000 in cash or positions. To maintain your account, you must stay above the minimum balance requirement on a rolling 30-day period and maintain a minimum level of activity in your Option Alpha account on a 60-day rolling period.

How do I get a free Pro account with Option Alpha?

All you need to do is authorize a qualified* tastytrade account with Option Alpha, maintain an active integration, and maintain a minimum level of activity in Option Alpha as outlined above. tastytrade will then cover the cost of an Option Alpha Pro plan on your behalf. There is no need to pay in advance or submit anything for reimbursement; it’s all handled for you automatically (as any true automated trading platform should).

If you don't already have an Option Alpha account, you can create one for free here. Once you've created your free account, simply authorize your qualifying tastytrade account(s) within 30 days and you'll be automatically upgraded to a free OA Pro account.

Do I automatically get upgraded to Pro when my account qualifies?

Yes, we will check your tastytrade balance daily. If your account meets the requirements outlined above, your Option Alpha account will automatically be upgraded to the Pro level for free.

That's it - clear and simple. Once your account is funded and connected to Option Alpha, you're good to go!

Are there any additional costs?

Currently, there are no additional costs at Option Alpha for traders who qualify for the tastytrade promotion. Any future upgrade or advanced functionality beyond what is now available at the Pro level may cost an additional fee. All commissions and fees are subject to tastytrade's fee structure. Can I trade with multiple brokers under a promotional plan?

No, if your membership is paid for on behalf of your brokerage, you'll be required to do all your Option Alpha trading through that broker partner. To connect additional brokers, you can upgrade to a Pro plan here.
