You can create a copy of any saved automation in your portfolio. Automation copies are useful when you want to reuse an existing automation but want to change one or more parts of the automation's actions. Copying an automation is an efficient way to reuse the basic framework of a saved automation without creating a new automation.
To make a copy of an automation, select the “+” symbol under the automation type you want to use.
When adding an automation to a bot, you have the option to create a new automation or create a copy of a saved automation from your library. Choose the automaton you want to copy and select the copy icon.
You can always simply edit the automation, but remember, editing an automation applies the changes to every bot using that automation. Copying the automation preserves the original version and allows you to modify the strategy.
Once the copy is created, you can rename the automation and make changes to the decisions and actions in the editor.
The new automation is added to the bot with a slight change to the decision recipe.
Creating a copy and making a minor modification takes a fraction of the time of building a new bot and enables you to edit decisions and actions without affecting the other bots using the original automation.
