Automations run at scheduled intervals. Sometimes you may not want to wait for the next scheduled interval to run an automation inside a bot. Don’t worry, we have you covered. This feature is convenient if you want to run an automation immediately or run an automation not currently active inside a bot.

With the ⚡️ icon in the Automations tab, you can run any automation from your library instantly. The automation, and all its actions, only run once. The bot’s scheduled automations will run again at the next interval regardless of the instant automation. As a reminder, all position and allocation limits are still in place, so the outcome of the instant automation may affect what automations run during the next interval. For example, if a position is opened and a position limit is met, no scanner automation will run again until a position is closed.

If the automation contains custom inputs, you will need to input the variables before the automation runs. The bot log displays the automation that ran off schedule and shows if any errors were encountered during the instant automation.

Automation is great, but we wanted to ensure that you still have manual control over your portfolio of bots. This button allows you to run any automation out of sequence, even if the automation isn’t currently running inside the bot. This gives you added flexibility and control over your automated trading system.
